Whether we've been through "trauma with a capital T," survived multiple traumatic incidents, experienced prolonged periods of abuse or neglect, or carry the burden of the witness, the end result is often a cleaving - of our minds from our bodies, of ourselves from the present moment, of ourselves from our true nature. True healing comes from reconnecting all parts of ourselves and restoring wholeness so we can live fully in our bodies, in our relationships, and in our lives without being overwhelmed by the experiences of the past or fear of the future.

Cultivating Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation & Self-Love

By emphasizing awareness, acceptance, and choice, a trauma-sensitive approach to yoga gives us tools to manage anxiety and depression and the symptoms that prevent us from fully embracing ourselves, our loved ones, and our lives. Breath by breath, we build patience, acceptance, and resilience.

Classes and private sessions are for all levels and are held in a safe, comfortable environment. You'll move slowly through gentle breathing exercises and yoga stretches, always with options to stop or change what you are doing - you are in control of your experience. We'll focus on awareness of body dynamics and safely exploring the sensations in your body. Over time this empowers you to manage your emotions and choose thoughts and actions that will better serve you.

Class Schedule

Because strong emotions may arise through a yoga practice, participants should be in a working relationship with a psychologist, psychiatrist, or other mental health professional to support their healing process. Please let me know if you'd like a referral.
